Hi folks-

fleabite here. I used to be on the old/other Sturgis message board back in the day, as user "88B". I remember guys like Brently (if he's still around). I now frequent the other major Harley-Davidson message board online, as this handle, "fleabite".

As far as real life, I lived in Wyoming for almost 20 years, and it was exactly 300 miles from my driveway to Sturgis, SD. I attended the rally many times in those 20 years, at one point, many consecutive years in a row. I used to stay at the Bear Butte Creek campground, then we moved to the Bulldog, of which we stayed there the last 10 years or so, until hearing about the sad, untimely death of Rodger, and the subsequent closing of the campground. Looks like we'll be at the Days End campground this year.

I now live in Las Vegas, NV, and haven't been to the rally in a few years, so I'm really looking forward to it this year.

Hello All,

Babygirl (original, huh?!) & Bigg B here, from sunny SW Montana. We're heading into Sturgis on Saturday. Will be B's millionth time, but the first ever out of our driveway- yay!!! Until last week, we had 13 miles of gravel before hitting anything that resembled pavement. B is STOKED!!! The ride into our place is hilly & curvy & breathtaking. We actually just hosted our "1st Annual Pre-Sturgis Fairweather Ride-In" & had a blast (our place is the Fairweather Outpost)! It's really cool to hear bikes blow by here now, not just cows! Anyone leaving Sturgis is welcome to come camp & rest at our spread- lots to do & plenty of room for all. We have soft grass, shade, places to swim & indoor plumbing even!! We'll be back home maybe on the 11th or 12th- let us know if you're interested.

This year will be my second in Sturgis. I was a Daytona & Myrtle Beach gal, which were always a blast, until the retired golfers ruined MB for the attendees & business owners...bummer. B sold his 66 Shovel he's had forever & now rides an 06 'geezer glide', but don't let that fool ya- he's a stud! I have an 04 DWG that's been tweaked a bit.

Unless we get some better suggestions (which we're hoping for), we'll probably end up back in the bike-only section of Glencoe again. B was the naked guy at the main entrance last year. Stop by & shake his.... hand!! :lol:
