Terry the Tramp: The Life and Dangerous Times of a One Percenter.
is the new book by K. Randall Ball, the legendary former editor of Easyriders magazine and a member of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame…
First edition copy signed by the author…THIS IS NOT ANOTHER OF THOSE NEGATIVE "TELL ALL" BIKER BOOKS WRITTEN BY SOME OPPORTUNISTIC "INFILTRATOR" OR A PUBLICITY SEEKER FROM "THE OUTSIDE"; IT'S WRITTEN WITH LOVE AND RESPECT FROM THE “INSIDE”...
Terry the Tramp is the story of the man who was the leader of the Vagos Motorcycle Club for many years…these kinds of intimate profiles in the biker community are important. When we are allowed into the lives of men like Terry, we see the absolute definition of the term “a way of life.” We see just how these machines we love so much are truly so much more than just machines. We see just how this culture is truly so much more—at least for some of us—than a hobby or a casual sometimes thing for a weekend warrior. Another of the best things about Terry the Tramp is the way in which Keith Ball not only gives us insight into Terry and his associates’ lives, but the reader is given such a great feel for the time periods and eras that the book and the life of Terry cover. Terry the Tramp is also an education into the overall cat-and-mouse game that is nearly universal when it comes to law enforcement versus motorcycle clubs. The book gets very specific—again, with some very pertinent details—when it describes the landmark litigation battles that the Vagos and police agencies fought out in court. This was some very heavy stuff that established and exposed a lot of precedents in the way that law enforcement legally—and sometimes not-so-legally—interacts with the clubs. This book goes many levels farther than just the life story of El Monte-born, Terry Orendorff. It’s a history and a commentary on this entire lifestyle and just how much clubs like the Vagos and men like Terry the Tramp have influenced it.

The book is hardcover, published by Motorbooks International, is 272 pages long and features many interesting and vintage photos.
